Cycling:
Through the concierge desk you will be able to choose from a range of road bikes, city bikes, family e-bikes and other bicycle models.
Take the coastal bicycle path down to Cascais (+/- 25 mnts), go to Guincho beach (+/- 15 mints) or simply ride your bike around the estate and through the golf course.
You will also be able to book our selection of e-bike tours with several routes available.
Helicopter tour:
Venture over the waters where the land meets the sea and discover the best views over the Oitavos before making your way along the coast all the way until Cascais or Sintra. Amaze yourself with the beautiful beaches, cliffs and picturesque villages.

Golf:
The first tee is set 100 yards from the hotel caddy master. 18-hole green fees are available for experienced golfers (maximum handicap 36). Tee times not available between 8h30 and 10h00 on weekends and bank holidays as the course is reserved for members only.

Horseback Riding:
The Oitavos has unique conditions for riding around the property, taking advantage not only of our 70ha piece of land, as well as all its surroundings whose landscape, classified as National Ecological Reserve, is absolutely stunning. You can ride to the Dunes and beach, or you can ride to the interior and exterior arenas, and take classes both outside and inside.

Overlooking the protected sand dunes, the Atlantic coast and its surrounding beaches, it is truly a remarkable destination ideal for travellers in search of nature and escape.
The pretty coastal town of Cascais is located a short distance from The Oitavos and makes a pleasant walk along the coast.
It also features the harbour where guests can take boat rides to nearby attractions, including Lisbon. There are other sandy beaches in the area, including Guincho, famous for its surfing.
Sintra, a town on the UNESCO World Heritage and Cascais, is in close proximity to the hotel.

Located within the Quinta da Marinha estate and only a 5 minute drive from the hotel, the Quinta da Marinha Health Club offers a wide range of activities and facilities, including Tennis (clay or synthetic grass), Padel or Squash courts, 2 indoor swimming pools, a large fully equipped fitness room and access to all kind of aerobic, relaxation, stretching group lessons.

Should it be an outdoor pilates session, a spinning class or a fitness lesson our team of professional trainers are available to provide a wide range of physical activities.
Swimming:

QUINTA DA MARINHA EQUESTRIAN CENTRE
HORSE RIDING
Located within the estate and only 5 minute drive from the hotel the horse riding centre is composed of 250 stables, a large indoor arena, 6 enclosed patios, a grassed competition showground, and a vast area of forest and natural sand dunes ideal for outdoor hacks.

Horse racing activities start in 1924 with the building of a horse-racing track with grand stand for the audience. Since then, we built an excellent infrastructure for horse riding at the highest level, including boxes, saddler, farrier, paddocks, an outdoor riding arena (jumping and dressage), an indoor riding arena, riding schools, an equipment shop, a Bar and Restaurant, an hippodrome of about 50,000 square meters with a grandstand for spectators, a show ground, and indoor lunging arenas.
In addition to these facilities geared specially to training horses and teaching, we have unique conditions for riding around the property and to the mountains or to the beach, taking advantage not only of our estate (Rides of 20Km – Vale da Foz), as well as all its surroundings whose landscape, with sea and mountains classified as National Park, is absolutely stunning.

You will be able to choose from a range of road bikes, city bikes, family e-bikes and other bicycle models. Ride towards Guincho along the stunning coast line or simply ride your bike around the Oitavos estate and through the golf course. You will also be able to book e-bike tours with several routes available towards Cascais, Cabo da Roca and Sintra.
Guincho e-bike tour:
We’ll pass by some of the region must sees and stunning coastline. This is a perfect tour to enjoy as a family.
Cascais e-bike tour:
Following the cycling path, we will discover the main points of interest of Cascais. This is one of the coolest ways to discover Cascais.
